Archery Permit Weekend

Free – £41.00This two-day training provides the necessary training and assessment for candidates to achieve their archery leadership permit for recurve bows. The weekend will be a mixture of both theory and practical skills including running the range for taster sessions.
On the Sunday, you will put everything into practice and run the range with the knowledge and skills to satisfy the Scout assessment checklist, once you have completed the requirements you will be recommended for a Scout Activity permit in Archery, once approved by your District Lead Volunteer (District Commissioner) you will be able to run sessions for groups within the Scout Association.
Please note, on completion of the course, restrictions may be imposed on your permit by the assessor. These shall be covered over the weekend or discussed with you.
This weekend is non catered so, please bring lunches for the two days (Kitchen facilities available), although tea and coffee will be provided throughout. We will be indoors and outdoors during the weekend so please wear appropriate clothing and bring waterproofs.
Final information will be emailed out to attendees closer to the time regarding the venue etc.
